Dusk at Crane Trust

Our last tour to view migrating sand hill cranes in Nebraska was on a bridge at the Crane Trust.  Cranes flew overhead as dusk was falling, but did not roost.  It was almost an hour later that they started to roost at this spot, and too dark to take photos.  But the evening was beautiful, if cold and windy.  Here are a few photos that I think represent the area.

  1. Thank you again! Even though the state is completely flat ( ! ) and there’s no green right now, sunset always allows beauty to shine through. It was very peaceful waiting for the birds.
