More Bug Questions

I found a succulent blooming in the yard, it was dusk and I had to photograph it.  Upon review I saw lots of little bugs on the flowers, as well as ants.  Eww.  Does anyone have any idea what these are?  Thank you.

    • Thank you for commenting! I don’t know if the succulent is in the family Brassicaceae. When I looked up brassicaceae I found things like cabbage, etc. What I have is a flower on a succulent, so it seems to me to not be in the family you have mentioned. But I really don’t know. Aphids of some sort sounds like a possibility, although all that I have ever seen are the yellow ones. Again, thank you so much for your input.

  1. Thank you, Thomas Peace, for the information! Oh boy, more aphids. Guess I should spray these little flowers with my mixture of vinegar and water to try to get rid of them. And yes, the ants were very busy running up and down the plant. Quite the little cosmos on one flower!!
